Leadership is relationship. You simply cannot have the former without the latter. Even the most remote and removed leader, by virtue of affiliation, has a relationship with those under her or him. Every organization, including its teams and sub-teams, is a relationship system. Work gets done through these powerful and, sometimes, overwhelming networks.
On the upside (due to the connectivity), mature and constructive behaviors will positively impact the group. On the downside, we can sometimes get sucked in to the over-closeness and reactivity that is simply part of the system.
It becomes essential to know how to navigate that relationship dynamic effectively. The Intentional Leader© model creates a framework for this.
